No scolding, no perfect-parent scoreboard, no doom. Just an open invitation.
About the movement
Come outside with us.
Stop NDD means Stop Nature Deficit Disorder. We use the phrase as a friendly rallying cry: more fresh air, more wonder, more muddy shoes, and less pressure to make outdoor time perfect.
Our mission is simple.
Help families, teachers, and neighbors build a steady outdoor habit that feels doable in real life.
- We believe nature belongs in the ordinary week, not just on vacations.
- We welcome city blocks, schoolyards, stoops, gardens, parks, trails, and backyards.
- We trade guilt for momentum: one small outside moment can change the tone of a day.
The Stop NDD way
Short activities, simple habits, seasonal ideas, and options for busy days.
Start with the living world closest to you and let the habit grow from there.
